On the job injuries of trackmen, engineers and other railroad employees are brought under the Federal Employers Liability Act. The employee must prove that the injury was caused by fault of the railroad, such as failing to provide safe equipment or a safe place to work. The plaintiff can recover normal damages as in other cases, not restricted to weekly benefits or medical costs.
